What we do
We work with small to medium businesses (SME’s), identifying what HR processes, if any, are currently in place or not and what’s needed in the short to medium term.
We provide agreed project-based solutions and like to integrate as part of your team to work alongside you to develop the best people outcomes for your business and ultimately become your ongoing trusted HR advisors.
- Conduct a “HR Audit” and from there draft up and agree a plan (HR Roadmap) which typically includes a review of the following –
- National Employment Standards & applicable awards
- Employment contracts / terms & conditions of employment
- Organisational design / structure
- Workplace policies & procedures
- Performance management practices – assess level of competency within the team
- Formulate HR performance measures aligned to the business strategy
- Mentoring and on going training / coaching of HR processes with the line managers
- Diversity, Culture & Engagement
- Values & Behaviours
How we do it
- While our preference is to work on-site with the business (It’s important that we integrate so we look and feel part of the wider team), dependent on the location of the assignment certain projects can be delivered remotely
- Develop and agree on a plan with the owner / managing director / management team of the day
- Typical assignments range from “two to three days” on site per week for an agreed period
- Seek “buy in” from the team on the plan
- Regular reporting / updates against the plan
- Agree on an ongoing HR support plan post completion of the initial assignment which may include HR systems and reporting
- Help the business to recruit a HR resource if the business feels they need one
- Continue to be the business’ trusted HR advisor moving forward
- “Prevention is better than the cure”
